Prions Disease
Introduction
Prions disease is a rare fatal brain disorder caused by misfolded proteins(prions) that cause normal protein to misfold leading to clumps that destroy nerve cells resulting in movement changes and personality changes. Prion disease is an incurable and fatal disease. Prions disease is diagnosed through a brain biopsy (which is a procedure to remove a small tissue sample from the brain to diagnose conditions) or analyzing brain tissue after death.
